Consultation Process Leads to the Installation of Traffic Calming Measures at York Drive Exit
In the course of consultation over a temporary extension to the planning permissions covering the use of the hockey pitch and lights, several neighbours commented on the safety aspects of the York Drive Exit from Bowdon Club. Bill Ball (Facilities Manager) and Keith Teasdale (Head Groundsman) have arranged the installation of increased traffic calming measures including a STOP sign and a new set of traffic bumps. The bumps are very noticeable and very visible. Also, with the cooperation of other neighbours we have trimmed back the hedge so that the exit is much more visible to Theobald Road pedestrians and traffic.
